[Dr. Yam: Wet weight? Self-rescue secrets revealed! 】
As the saying goes: "A thousand colds are easy to remove, but a dampness is difficult to remove. Dampness sticks, like oil entering the face."
Moisture is not so easy to remove. Since Master Wen has taught you how to remove dampness by "eating", today I will teach you how to remove dampness by "pressing".
There are hundreds of acupuncture points on the human body, corresponding to different parts of the body. Massaging different acupoints naturally has different effects. Here are a few recommended dampness-removing acupuncture points for everyone to press and relieve the discomfort caused by wetness:
Fenglong point – located on the anterolateral side of the calf, 8 inches above the tip of the lateral malleolus, at the plump bulge of the calf muscles outside the front edge of the tibia. Proper massage of this acupoint can calm stomach qi, resolve phlegm and dampness, and clear the mind.
Weizhong point - located in the center of the knee. The bladder meridian is the largest detoxification and dampness channel in the human body, and the Weizhong point is the sewage outlet of this channel. If it is blocked, moisture will not be discharged and will accumulate in the body.
Chengshan Point - Known as the "first point for removing dampness", Chengshan Point is located in the middle of the back of the calf. The calf muscles are divided into a "herringbone" shape, and Chengshan point is in the middle of the herringbone. There will be obvious soreness and pain when massaging this acupoint at first, which also represents the accumulation of moisture in the body. After massaging for a period of time, your body will feel slightly warm, which indicates the growth of yang energy and the reduction of dampness.
Massage techniques for the above acupoints:
Place the thumb or index finger and middle finger pulp on the acupoint, relax the other four fingers naturally, and rub clockwise and counterclockwise for 2-3 minutes respectively. The technique should be gentle, steady and penetrating. Massage can be performed after a 5-minute interval. The total massage time is preferably 5-10 minutes per acupoint.
If you still feel discomfort after pressing and the moisture problem is still unresolved, it is possible that the moisture is too heavy or the wrong acupuncture point is pressed. When the time comes, go to Li Kanghe Hall and take a look. Wait for me to tell you whether you are right or not!
